Finally I decided it was way overdue that we have our own complete family session. I can count on one hand how many photos of all five us we have. Four of those five pictures include someone making a goofy face and the other is blurry with a flash taken by another family member’s camera. Don’t get me wrong, I am constantly taking pictures of my girls, or my girls with daddy, but none including me. Why? Simply, I am always behind the camera. Everyone is intimidated by my camera and I have a hard time letting it go, haha. It was time to have something to look back at and show we are a family of five in this moment of time. I really don’t want my girls looking back at all of their pictures wondering where mommy was.
I enlisted my mom’s help, had her be my human tripod, and told her just to keep taking pictures. It was quite the ordeal. If one child wasn’t crying the other was. My girls can be quite dramatic! Then there is always my husband who has to throw in a few crazy faces into the mix. I definitely busted out laughing a few times while I was scrolling through the memory card. I knew somewhere in those pictures there was at least one or two of everyone looking in the right direction and not crying. It worked and I had quite a few to work with. Of course I made my girls pose for me too and we had a complete session out in one of my favorite fields.
